“it’s a small world”

There is a ride that is located right next to Peter Pan at Walt Disney World and near Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland. This ride is a small little ride that has a bigger history. The ride that has been described to you is the ride, “it's a small world”. This ride was first shown to the world at the 1964 World's Fair in New York and that is the same year that the Carousel of Progress so Walt Disney was a big part in this World's Fair.

Back to the ride of “it’s a small world”, since this ride was at the World's Fair it covers a lot of different backgrounds of culture in the ride. When you are on the ride you will get to listen to the same song over and over and over again and when you are in different parts of the ride you will hear the song in the language that is being shown. All of the cultures are shown with little dolls which are kinda unique. All of the dolls will be dressed or be doing something that will be connected with their culture.

The ride is a very slow and relaxing ride and it is a boat ride. This ride is 15 minutes long and it usually is not a very long wait to get on the ride. First you go into an icy area that I think is representing Russia. There will be people that are trying to feed some walruses and there are also 4 people that will be singing. There is another guy that will be skating on the top on some ice. Once you go and see the next country which I think is Scotland, you will see the nice scenery of this country and you will also see people spinning around in a circle. After that, there are going to be a band that is playing a song and there are some other people that are playing. After that to the next area you will get to see a lot more scenery and different buildings and different dolls.

They are going to show many different cultures in this one room, and the song will get stuck in your head. In the room after that there will be some flying carpets and this an easter egg from the movie Aladdin. There are a total of 32 countries, from Europe there is Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Spain, and Italy. From the Middle East and Asia there is Israel, Russia, China, India, Morocco, Japan, and Korea, from the jungles there is Egypt, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. From South America there is  Central America, Argentina, Mexico, and Chile and from the South Pacific there is Polynesia, Tahiti, the Philippines, Hawaii, New Guinea, Australia, and New Zealand and at the end of the ride you will see a cowboy that is dressed in white. All in all, it is a great ride to see the representation of many different places.  Also, if you have seen the movie Tomorrowland, you will recognize that “it’s a small world” was part of it.
