When you go into Hollywood Studios you will see the road that goes through all of Hollywood. You will see many different buildings and billboards all around you. You will see the replica of the iconic Chinese Theater. If you go to the left near the middle of the big circle then walk straight through and then right a little ways you will end up seeing an AT-AT. You will also see a sign that will say Star Tours. 

When you go into the queue on the outside you are supposed to be transported into the moon of Endor which if you have not watched the movies then it is where the shield generator for the death star was located.  As you go through the queue you will see the AT-AT and the little structures that the ewoks (the creatures that live on Endor) made. When you go into the building you will see a futuristic looking room. As you keep walking a little bit forward then you will come and see the spaceship that you will be flying in with C-3PO at a control center and R2-D2 in the ship. When you look to your right you will see a big screen that will have many different screens that will show destinations of where you could go similar to an airport with departures and arrivals.  There will be audio for a few of the scenes on the screen. The screen will also show the flight departures and arrivals in the language of “Star Wars” that they use in the movies which will translate into English. There will be many more areas that you will see that have robots and other things that will entertain you for a little while you wait since this can be a popular ride.

My favorite little scene as you are going through there will be a robot that is checking baggage and you get to see what is in it. There are many different bags that he will check and you should try to see what is inside them. He makes lots of jokes about the people going through the line.  

When you get to the end of the queue you will be given a pair of 3D glasses. When you get them you will be assigned to a row at a certain star speeder 3000(this is what the spaceship is called). When you get into the row on the outside you will see a video that will show you where you were about to enter and the hangar. It will be a little entertaining and a nice addition. It will tell you the safety protocols that all rides must tell you before you get on. 

When you get on and the ride starts as you see C-3PO and you will hear R2-D2 and he is the one that is driving. There are 4 different starting segments of the ride. These will show you where you take off and these starting segments will introduce the idea of what you are trying to do. In the beginning you will be stopped by Darth Vader or some stormtroopers and they will scan for a rebel spy and it will randomly choose someone in the spaceship. There will always be a rebel spy in your ship when you ride the ride. 

Then you will escape the star destroyer and fight off a few tie fighters before going to light speed. Then you go out of light speed and go straight into a planet and you can be in many different segments that are all from the movies. There will be someone that will speak to you and they will show who it is on the screen. It can be a lot of different people that are from the movies that will talk to you. You could go to Jakku and be in the middle of a fight with tie fighters and the Millenium Falcon, or you could go to Tatooine and see the pod races close up. 

When you get out of the first planet you will see a transmission or a hologram of someone like yoda or BB-8. they will give you a mission and C-3PO will not want to do it but R2 does. When you go to light speed and you get out of it you will be on another planet and then you will have an encounter with someone and you could be going into the death star or you can go to naboo and see the fight that happened in episode one. When you leave that you will go to a planet and there could be people cheering for you cause you made it there safe or you could crash land on a platform. 

There are 54 different combinations that you can experience on the ride and all of the scenes are from the movies. So when you are ready to go back a long time ago in a galaxy far far away…. Then consider riding Star Tours.
