Attraction in Tomorrowland

We’ve all dreamed of going into space and being an astronaut at one point in life where we get a view that not many people have gotten. On Space Mountain you can experience the thrill of flying through space in your very own rocket. This attraction is located in Tomorrowland. Tomorrowland is one part of the Magic KIngdom park which has a very futuristic feel to it compared to the rest of the park. Space Mountain is one of the most popular attractions in Tomorrowland and it is an exhilarating roller coaster ride. Space Mountain looks like a bright modern white space capsule ready for space travelers to come aboard. Space Mountain is one of those rides that has a photo that is taken on the ride that you can get afterwards and if you have the photopass then can be saved on your magicband. Otherwise you can save it to your photopass card or park ticket. Space mountain is a ride that runs in the dark and gives a thrill of when you’re going to turn, drop, or have a sudden incline on the track and this occurs for most of the ride. Even though it only has a speed of about 30 MPH, it feels much faster. Space Mountain has a special thing about it where certain people can ride the ride with the lights on instead of with the lights off as it usually is. In my opinion, without the feel of the dark it takes away from the thrill of the ride.
Disney does everything they can to give the ride the feel of actually going to space. In the queue you feel like you’re on a space station heading towards the terminal to lift off and take flight. Near the end of the queue you enter a blue lighted area that gives off the feel of an airport security wait or waiting to have your ticket checked to get on the plane. In this section before the ride if the line is long there’s even some small games to play that are all space themed. Then they go as far as to make you feel like you’re gaining speed right after the start of the ride with blue lights around you going behind you faster and faster until you turn off and you’re about to leave the station. Now may I ask can you get this in depth scenery and detail at Six Flags or Universal Studios?
After going through the ride you get off and walk up a slanted walkway and off to your right there are advertisements for different expeditions. There’s one about a deep cave journey, another is about a Mars rover journey, a third is about going 10,000 leagues under the sea, and the last is a nice hotel to relax at and enjoy your stay there. After all this you arrive at a gift shop where you can buy space themed gifts and if you’re into pressed pennies there’s a machine in the shop to press pennies.
