In the Magic Kingdom there are many different lands that house different rides and it is the theme of the area. So in Adventure Land there are many rides that are themed around adventures so you are immersed into the land. My favorite ride in this land is the Pirates of the Caribbean. This ride was at the park before there was the movie so the movies are based on the ride. This ride used to just have you going around on a boat and watching pirates. But when the Pirates of the Caribbean became a movie they added Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbosa. It became more of a story and it is a little more interesting and you can connect it to the movies. 

The ride is about 7 and a half minutes long and it is very relaxing and there is one drop and it is not a very big one but it is in the dark. The whole ride is mostly you going by a town with pirates but when you land down from the drop there is a battle going on with the British and Captain Barbosa where they are shooting cannonballs all around. It is possible for you to be hit by the water when the cannonball hits the water. And then you go into other scenes that they used to have people being interrogated to tell them where Jack Sparrow is and they put them into a well. When you move on you can see that there are more areas that will have more pirates and there will be many scenes that will involve pirates and other citizens of the fort.

 There is a jail scene that is similar to the first movie. When you are looking around you will feel like you are there but if you look up then it will ruin the magic and it will not feel like you are in a town anymore. The ride is still very well done and there is no track on the ride. It is just flowing water so it feels more like you’re on water and you really are. When you get off you will see other scenery that you will also see when you are in the queue. The scenery in the queue in the beginning will be some bars and torches for light and you will see some cannons and other and crates. All of the scenery is a little interactive because they play the musical version “yo ho yo ho a pirate's life” for me song while you are waiting so that it is not as boring and you will pass the time.

The gift shop has pirate stuff that you can buy but if you just want to buy something then you can enter it without going onto the ride. The ride does go very quickly because there are many boats that are flowing constantly and as soon as people get off and people get on and they are off another boat will take its place almost immediately. So have fun on your Perilous Journey.
