Fastpass+

Fast passes are very important for having a good trip. The fast passes are for going sooner onto the rides. You go into another queue and there will be fewer people because there are only a certain amount of fast passes available per hour so that you will get on the ride much faster. They will let 100 people in the fast pass lane go and then they will let the standard line go and then another 100 fast pass people and so on and so forth especially if it is a popular ride.  You can get three fast passes for a single park for each day of your vacation when you book early.  If there are some fast passes left that no one has booked for an attraction then you can get one at a time after you have experienced the attraction.  However, you cannot have more than one fast pass that is in the same hour. Like if one is from 1:45 to 2:45 you can’t another that is from 1:55 to 2:55.

All of the fast passes have a certain time that they can be used, which is an hour time frame, and they give a grace period of 5 minutes before the time and 5 minutes after the time. You will get the fast passes on your magic band if you are staying at a resort or your ticket so that you can just scan either when you get there. If you are staying at a resort, you can get fastpasses 60 days in advance through the Disney website. If you buy tickets in advance, you can book them 30 days in advance.  After arriving at the parks you can use the MyDisney Experience app or you can get them at a fast pass kiosk and it will give you the earliest time that they have if any are available. You can say how many people are in your party and it will give you enough for your party at the same time. It is very easy to get and use a fastpass.  Certain fast passes will fill up faster than others, especially the more popular rides.

There are many rides that people like and they have a small wait time. You can get the My Disney Experience app to see the wait times around the park and they are pretty accurate but they can give you a good idea of what to expect. The more popular rides will get the higher wait times but there are times that you can go and there will be less of a wait. You can go when the park opens and if you are in a Disney Resort then there might be some extra magic hours that you can get. The extra magic hours can be 1 more hour but it gives you some time to be able to go on some of the more popular rides before the long wait time begins. Because when the park opens the wait times will increase dramatically and you will go from 20 minutes for  Space Mountain to around 1 hour and 30 minutes. So if you want to ride the rides you want and get all of the fast passes that you want then you should get a Disney Resort to be able to get those magic hours.
