Behind the Seeds Tour by Jace Smith
Behind the Seeds Tour
By Jace Smith
All of the parks in Walt Disney World all have their own themes that make them unique and different from the other parks at Disney and any other theme park in the world. EPCOE has a very futuristic vibe to it for our technology. But when you go to the building called The Land where Living with The Land and Soarin are, you can go on the ride Living With the Land. You will see lots of plants and how future technology can help us live with the land.
During the ride the narrator will tell you that if you want to take a closer look at what they do at The Land there is a Behind the Seeds tour that you can take and you will get a much closer look at what they do. The Behind the Seeds tour will not be available during the coronavirus pandemic but when things clear up you should be able to see the tour. When you go onto the tour you will go in a group and you will go backstage and get to see what they do at The Land. When it is your time to go on the tour a cast member will talk to you about what they are going to show you and they will guide you to a room where they will talk about things that they do with insects and what insects do for them.
They will talk about many interesting things that may be interesting to you, but it could also be boring. They show you all the things that they do to get their natural ways of helping make their plants safe from dangers of tiny insects by adding wasps and ladybugs (the wasps are not aggressive; they see a lot of people) that are predators to the tiny harmful insects.
You will get to see some things up close and they are able to answer any questions that you may have because they are knowledgeable. Most of the tour is in the place where the ride is and you might see some people riding the ride. You will get to see some things that when you ride the ride you will not see and you will get to see other things up close and they will explain them in more detail. They show you a lot of how they grow their plants in many different ways and they show you what they do with the plants that they grow. You will get to see not just what they grow but what they raise like fish and shrimp which they will use for some of the food for the Disney theme parks. When me and my brother we got to feed the fish and it was interesting. We also got to eat cucumbers. The Behind the Seeds tour is one of the few backstage tours or experiences that you can see as well as one of the most affordable at Walt Disney World and this is one of the two that we have done. The tour is around 30 to 40 minutes and it is a very interesting experience that I would suggest.
