One of the hot new rides in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is Rise of the Resistance, the only ride that currently requires you to enter a virtual queue to enter the ride. Not only that but it isn’t easy to get into the queue because you have to be in the park in the My Disney Experience app and ready to join the queue as soon as it’s 10:00 a.m. in the parks. Also that doesn’t even guarantee that you’ll get a spot. However they have been doing a new thing where at 2:00 p.m. they have another opportunity to join the queue if you missed your chance or didn’t get in the first time. Also no you cannot join the queue to try and ride it a second time in the same day.
Once you’re in the queue then you just wait until a notification pops up telling you that your boarding group is ready but don’t worry usually they have 10 groups able to join the line at once due to possible conflicts from other rides or dining. Once you’ve joined the line and prove that your group is now boarding you get to go and embark on an amazing adventure with the Resistance.
You first get put into a room where you’re assigned to a number to listen to a message from Rey, Poe, BB-8 and other characters from the Star Wars universe talking about you escaping from Batuu on a secret mission to a secret base that only you’ll know about along with your crew. Next you’ll be escorted into a U-wing where you’ll take off from the Black Spire Outpost and be escorted by three x-wings and one of the pilots in Poe Dameron. However you’ll encounter resistance from the tie fighters and star destroyers in the planet's atmosphere waiting for your arrival. Once they’ve dragged you into the hangar bay by tractor beam you’ll be escorted off the U-wing by imperial officers for interrogation.
As you get off the U-wing you’ll see lots of stormtroopers staring at you and blocking the way to space as well as troopers to your right. As you walk to your interrogation room you’ll see the extraordinary design of this star destroyer. Once in the interrogation room you’ll see General Huks talk to you about how they know your resistance and require the location of your secret base that isn’t so secret but is still an unknown location. Then Kylo Ren will appear and use the force to try and make you give him the location until he’s called to get on the bridge. After they leave part of the wall will pop out and you’ll be rescued by resistance that were on the destroyer and will get you into prison escort transports.
From there reprogrammed droids will try to take you to escape pods to get you back to Batuu because it’s too dangerous to have you try to go on your mission or stay put. So then the droids take you down many halls until they run into some stormtroopers looking for escaped prisoners aka you. Then you’re now on a mission to try and escape but run into lots of trouble such as being stuck in a room with AT-ATs or All-Terrain Attack-Transports where the men inside will shoot at you. Eventually you manage to find yourself at the bridge where Kylo Ren says that he’ll deal with you himself and he chases you until you go down a long hall and escape his grasp but are delayed by cannons shooting at Resistance ships that showed up to help you. Only bad thing is the Resistance ships are shooting back and you almost get hit. Thankfully you get out of there but Kylo Ren is now in his ship and is outside looking in at you about to destroy you if you don’t give up but is shot out of the air. Then you get into an elevator shaft that’ll take you into an escape pod and you eventually are able to escape down to Batuu and the Black Spire Outpost but a little off target. Then Finn congratulates you and welcomes you to the Resistance as you then head to the exit in the vehicle driven by crazy droids. As you can read this ride is crazy and definitely lives up to its hope in my opinion and was worth the wait to ride this incredible ride.
